2、 to make the best of, “充分利用”什么?

Supervisor Bill Postmus tried to make the best of it all in his invocation: “Thank you for taking us out of the difficult times that we\'ve had in the past, Lord.”

点评：原译的问题就出在对短语make the best of的理解上。没错，它的意思是“充分利用(时间、机会等)”，但并非“充分利用当前形势”，而是“充分利用祷告的机会”，故改为“借机”。

1、supervisor：如果不了解这个人，很难决定是“行政官员”还是“县管委会委员”，可惜作者并没有说到这个词他是如何确定下来的。
